Do you already know what sweets will accompany you during the desserts of these days? Well, here comes an idea: some Christmas cakes with limoncello.
They are made With almonds and they taste like Christmas. We are going to prepare them by hand, without the need for a food processor. The step-by-step photos below are proof that they can be prepared in no time.

Ingredients
For the dough:
- 100 g toasted almonds (with or without skin)
- 65 g olive oil
- 65 g freshly squeezed orange juice
- 55g limoncello
- 100 g of sugar
- 20 g fresh baker's yeast
- 1 egg
- A pinch of baking soda
- 320 g of bread flour
And to decorate:
- Whole almonds
- moistened sugar
Preparation
Put the oil, orange juice, limoncello, sugar, yeast and egg in a bowl.
We mix well.
We add the baking soda and the flour.
Now we mix with the help of a pastry spatula or a wooden spoon. We add the almonds.
We mix until we obtain a dough like the one in the photo. We let it rest for about an hour.
We line a couple of baking trays with baking paper.
We divide the dough into twelve portions. With wet hands, we form a ball with each portion and divide it between the two baking trays (6 on each tray).
We flatten each ball slightly with our hands to give them a cake shape. We decorate with moistened sugar and some raw almonds.
Bake at 180º for approximately 20 minutes, until golden.
