What can we do with bread from previous days that has already gone stale? We propose a simple solution harvest dessert with apple.
In addition to bread, it contains milk, egg, sugar and apple. Everything is mixed, poured into a bowl and baked.

Ingredients
- About 10 g of butter and a little more to grease the mold
- Breadcrumbs to put on the base of the mold
- 100 g of sugar and a little more for the surface
- 150 g of stale bread
- About 250 g of milk to soften the bread
- 4 eggs
- 2 apples, peeled and diced
- Optional: cinnamon, lemon peel…
Preparation
Prepare a baking dish of approximately 20x25 centimetres. Grease the base with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Set aside.
We cut the bread into pieces and put it in a bowl. We put the milk in the same bowl and let the bread soak well.
We remove the excess milk (if there is excess) and add the peeled and chopped apple.
We put the eggs and sugar in another container.
We beat those eggs.
We mix the egg and sugar mixture with the bread and apple mixture. If we want to add flavour, we add a little grated lemon peel, cinnamon... whatever we like best.
We put everything in the dish. We sprinkle a little breadcrumbs, sugar and a few pieces of butter on the surface.
We bake at 200º for 20-30 minutes.
