Today I am going to share with you a typical recipe Menorcana whirlpool bath, baked cuttlefish with potatoes or how you would say in Menorcan a «perol de Sípia«. "Perol" in Menorcan refers to the clay or glass container that is placed in the oven to cook. You will see that it is a very simple recipe and the result is very rich, the cuttlefish is soft and the potatoes take on an incredible taste.
If you have leftover prawns or prawns from these festivals, you can add them on top of the cuttlefish layer and then you will have a spectacular dish.

Ingredients
- 2 large potatoes
- 1 cebolla
- 500 gr. cuttlefish
- olive oil
- breadcrumbs with garlic and parsley
- 2 cloves of garlic
- chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika (optional)

- milk

Cut the potatoes and onion into slices. Make sure that the potatoes are not too thick so that they cook well in the oven, they should be approximately 1/2 cm.
In an oven-safe container, add a drizzle of olive oil.
Place a layer of potato slices and one of onion. Sprinkle with minced garlic and parsley and salt to taste.
Then place the cuttlefish cut into pieces.
Cover again with another layer of potatoes, onion, garlic and parsley. If you make a larger quantity, you have to layer until you finish with the ingredients.
Pour milk just up to the level of the last layer of potatoes.
Cover the entire surface with a generous layer of breadcrumbs with garlic and parsley.
Sprinkle with the sweet paprika (optional) and drizzle the oil on top.
Place in the oven preheated to 190ºC and bake for 40-60 minutes. It will depend on your oven and the thickness of the potatoes and cuttlefish. Check that it is done by piercing the potatoes and cuttlefish and checking that they are soft.
