Have you tried the cabbage with wine? I anticipate that the water in the cabbage will serve us for a first cooking. Our our vegetables will finish cooking thanks to half a glass of red wine.

Cabbage with olives
An original cabbage dish cooked in its own juice and with a splash of red wine.

Ingredients
- 550 g of cabbage
- 1 or 2 potatoes
- 1 small onion
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 15-20 black olives
- 1 glass of red wine
- Sal Island

We chop and wash the cabbage.
Peel and chop both the onion and the potatoes.
We put oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion for a few minutes.
Add the paprika and mix everything well.
Add the cabbage and olives and cook over low heat for approximately 15 minutes, mixing occasionally with a wooden spoon.
Add the red wine and continue cooking over low heat.
It will be ready when the wine has been consumed.
Notes
If once the wine has been consumed we see that the cabbage is not cooked as we like it, we can add a little water and continue cooking for a few more minutes.
