We have this very simple idea and it is carried out in 5 minutes. It is an alternative to the classic steaks and that you can do by creating a sweet and sour filling, with the salty touch of serrano ham and the sweetness of the date.
we will extend the chicken fillets or breasts and we will cover them with the mentioned ingredients. Next, we roll them up and then coat them with a super crunchy breading. This recipe admits multiple fillings, but this idea is helpful and with a different taste.
Chicken rolls stuffed with ham and dates

Ingredients
- 2 thin chicken breasts
- 150 g of serrano ham, thinly sliced
- 300 g pitted dates
- 2 eggs
- 1 small dish with wheat flour
- 1 small plate with breadcrumbs
- Olive oil
- Salt and ground black pepper

We unfold on a table the chicken steaks. Place the slices of Serrano ham and then another layer with the dates open.
Roll up the fillets while pressing so that they compact well. One trick is to hold them with wooden toothpicks so they keep their shape. If they stick out or are very long, the toothpicks can be broken so that they can be fried much better later.
We prepare the plates with the flour, breadcrumbs and beaten eggs.
Heat in a pan the olive oil.
We cast salt and black pepper ground to the rolls and we begin to batter. First we will give them a layer of flour, then one of egg and finally of breadcrumbs.
When we have the hot oil we put them to fry. We can lower the heat a bit so that they brown more slowly and are perfectly done inside.
When we take them out we can place them on a plate with absorbent paper to release excess oil.
We can serve immediately warm, accompanied by French fries, salad or vegetables.
