Ingredients
- 200g milk
- 50 g of water
- 10 g honey
- 15 g fresh baker's yeast
- 500 g flour
- 1 egg
- 50 g butter in pieces
- 5 g of salt
- 50 g raisins
- 1 yolk
- Sugar for the surface
Music
Put the milk, water, honey and yeast in a bowl. Mix with a whisk.
We add the flour, the egg, the butter and the salt.
We knead until we obtain a smooth dough.
We let the dough rise for about two hours, in a bowl covered with film or a cloth.
We soak the raisins.
When the dough has doubled in volume, add the raisins (without the liquid, drained) and knead again.
We put the dough on the counter and divide it into 8 portions.
In this image you can see how I shaped each portion: we make a strip, divide it in two without separating it. We intertwine these two parts and end up forming the ring.
We place them on two baking trays covered with baking paper. We let them rise for about an hour.
We paint the surface with the beaten egg yolk. We sprinkle moistened sugar on top.
Bake at 200º for approximately 25 minutes. Halfway through baking, change the position of the trays (raise the bottom one and lower the top one).
