Snowman cake

Preparation

1. Heat oven to 325 degrees.

2. Grease and flour two glass baking bowls, slightly larger than the other. (Note: For the cake, one pan with a 1-liter capacity and 6 inches in diameter was used and the other with a 1 1/2-liter capacity and 7 inches in diameter.)

3. To make the base of the cake, we first mix the flour with the cocoa, the yeast, the baking soda and the salt in a large bowl.

4. In a separate bowl, mix the butter with the sugar until we have a fluffy white cream. Add the eggs, one at a time, to mix well. We also add the vanilla extract.

5. Add the flour mixture in the form of rain over the egg and butter cream with the help of a strainer. As we eliminate the lumps, we also add the milk to the dough.

6. We choose two molds to bake two biscuits with two different shapes. One will be the head of the doll and the other, the body. We bake the smaller cake for about 50 minutes and the larger one for about 65. The ideal temperature is 165 degrees. In any case, we will know that the biscuits are ready when we insert a toothpick or needle into them and they come out clean. Let the biscuits cool on a wire rack.

7. On a tray, we have the biscuits together to form the doll. We cover them with the vanilla glaze, spread well with a knife or palette, and sprinkle with abundant grated coconut.

8. We decorate the doll as follows: The eyes will be the two chocolate or licorice bars, the orange jelly bean is used to make the nose and the red licorice wire, when curved, simulates a smiling mouth.

9. Arrange and fold the licorice tongues around the neck to make a scarf (if we cut the ends we will make the fringes). For the buttons, we use colored round candies.

10. Finally, we put some arms on the doll. We can use curly licorice wands, inserting bits of black wire at the ends to make the fingers.
